Our journey of Over 40 years
THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME
The School is named after a Religious-Brother, Brother Pius Igharo Enoma of Third Order of St. Francis whose ascetic lifestyle and example was a great influence and challenge to many young people of his time. He died in October, 1949. Thirty years, Archbishop Ekpu founded the school and named it after him.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF BROTHER PIUS SCHOOL
Brother Pius School was founded in October 1979 by His Grace, Late Most Rev. Patrick Ekpu Ebosele, The Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Benin City is the Proprietor of the school. It is run and managed by the Adoration Sisters of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Aims & Objectives of the School
Our goal is to give Catholic Value Oriented Holistic Education that will prepare young people to know Christ and cultivate value system based on Christian Principles.
Our aim is to create a conducive atmosphere for learning where unconditional love can be expressed, irrespective of all diversities, which captures the creative potentials of pupils, teachers and parents in an open and non-competitive manner.
Our aim is to also encourage hard work. We take pride in greater achievements, thinking and acting independently. We aim to ensure that each child comprehends his/her potentials, appreciates changes and values, while developing harmoniously their physical, Emotional, intellectual, Moral and Spiritual qualities.
We aim to strive towards a programme and school environment which facilitates the development of autonomous, open, self-critical, and competent educators. To this end, we aim to develop in our teachers, the ability and perceptions to objectively analyze and discuss not only their own behavior, teaching methods and assumptions but also those of co-workers.
We aim to strive to increase the ability of staff to work cooperatively and creatively as a team. At Brother Pius School, we plan, implement and evaluate together as a team.
